At this point, Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm are far from getting too close for comfort.
The actors caught up with each other for an episode of Variety's Actors on Actors series released Tuesday. During the nearly 30-minute conversation, Wiig and Hamm reflected on their time working together on "Saturday Night Live" and "Bridesmaids."
Wiig was a regular on the NBC sketch comedy series from 2005-2012, while Hamm hosted the show in 2008 and twice in 2010.
Hamm and Wiig reminisced on the backstage flurry of performing on "SNL," including full costume changes alongside castmates.
"The fun part of 'SNL' — one time I was hosting, and we both had quick changes next to each other," Hamm said. "And you're like, 'Get ready,' and then we're both naked. They're literally tearing clothes off of you. You just have to go with it."

The memory prompted Wiig – who returned to 30 Rock in April to host "SNL" – to recall a similar moment with longtime "SNL" cast member Kenan Thompson.
"The last time I was back, I had a quick change," Wiig said. "They were stripping me, and I looked over, and Kenan was doing the same thing. I was like, 'Oh, we've seen each other.' "
Hamm added: "It's only awkward because you have to submit to it. You're a total mannequin."

Hamm, who made an appearance in Wiig's 2011 comedy "Bridesmaids," looked back on his unserious approach to performing in an intimate scene with Wiig.
"Everybody knew each other, and I didn’t know anybody except for (director) Paul (Feig) and you," Hamm said. "So, all of that stuff in the bed at the beginning of the movie? Everybody just wanted to leave. And we were goofing around."
Wiig, who received an Oscar nomination for best screenplay for the film, said she relished the playful on-set dynamic. "It was so fun because it was so loose: ‘What if we do this? What if we try this?' " she said.

"And Paul Feig yelling sex instructions. 'Put her leg over your shoulder!' 'OK!' We're in naked bodysuits. Dumb and fun," Hamm added. "And you and (writer) Annie (Mumolo) made one of the best comedies of all time. And you got nominated for an Oscar."
Wiig replied: "And you’re in it. And you made it great. So, thanks."
